Located in a charming cottage just above Cannery Row, the tasting room features the small-production, estate-grown wines from Pierce Ranch Vineyard, emphasizing Spanish and Portuguese varietals. The acclaimed wines of Puma Road are featured at this new tasting venue across from the Portola Hotel & Spa at the end of Alvarado Street in downtown Monterey. It is located just steps from Fisherman’s Wharf and many fine restaurants and inns.

Wine portfolio: Guests will be able to enjoy each of Puma Road’s more than 15 varietals and blends, including the Burgundian standards Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, along with the beautiful Bordeaux varietals like Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. In addition there are several exciting Puma Road blends to sample.

Ray Franscioni has brought the wines of his Puma Road and Pessagno labels to this distinctive site next door to Tarpy’s Roadhouse on Hwy 68 just east of the Monterey Regional Airport. Relax at the wine bar inside the quaint Old Stone House or out on the open deck overlooking the lily-filled fish pond. Here you can enjoy wines by the glass or flights of Bordeaux and Burgundian varietals from the Franscioni vineyards in Paicines in San Benito County, the Gabilan foothills of the Salinas Valley and the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County.

Wine portfolio: All Puma Road wines are 100% estate grown and bottled and include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris as well as a line of single varietal Bordeaux and several unique blends. The Pessagno label features bottlings of vineyard-designated varietals including Dry Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel.
